Anna Maria Bernini is a Senator and Minister of University and Research. She graduated with honors in Law from the University of Bologna and is a member of the Bar.
She is Associate Professor of Institutions of Comparative Public Law at the University of Bologna. In 2008, she was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. She served as Minister for European Union Policies from July 28, 2011 to November 16, 2011. In the 17th legislature, she was elected to the Senate of the Republic for the first time.
