Speaker - Biography

Professor emeritus at Bocconi University, he is an authority on international and European Union law. He has devoted his career to teaching and research, focusing on international trade and investment, dispute resolution and contracting.

He held prestigious positions as a judge of the WTO Appellate Tribunal between 2001 and 2009, serving as its president in 2006-2007.

He also served as vice-chairman of the OECD Committee on Bribery.

As a lawyer, he assists companies in international litigation and consulting. He is a prolific author and a prominent international speaker.
