Giorgio Sacerdoti

Speaker - Biography

A professor emeritus of international law at Bocconi University, he is one of Italy’s leading experts in international trade law, foreign investment, and international dispute resolution.

He served as a member of the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) from 2001 to 2009, serving as its Chair from 2006 to 2007, and as Vice Chair of the OECD Committee on Combating Bribery in International Business Transactions.

A lawyer and international arbitrator at the World Bank’s ICSID, he is the author of numerous scholarly publications and is internationally recognized for his research on international trade law and the multilateral trading system.
