Alessandro Pitto was elected 17th president of Fedespedi (National Federation of International Forwarding Companies) in June 2022.
Born in Genoa in 1970, he graduated with honors in economics and business from the University of Genoa. He is a partner and managing director of Casasco & Nardi, S.p.A., a historic maritime and air freight forwarding house founded in 1935. He has been involved in associations for more than 20 years: president of the Spediporto Territorial Association for two terms until 2022, he was vice president of Fedespedi from 2019 to 2022 with responsibility for IT & Digital Innovation.
His entrepreneurial activity has always been accompanied by an interest in the study of business economics, and he was an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Genoa for several years. He has to his credit several publications in national and international journals
in the field of logistics and transportation.
