With a degree in Agri-Food System Economics, and after working as an analyst-programmer at a major Italian company, he joined the Customs Administration in 1993, where he served as an official in technical customs matters, focusing in particular on inspections and accounting.

Throughout his career with the Customs Agency, he held numerous management positions at major operational facilities, including the Fiumicino Airport Customs Office.

In 2018, he took over as head of the Sicily Regional Directorate and, subsequently, in 2022, of the Campania Regional Directorate, building on his extensive experience in managing the Agency’s regional offices, until his appointment in 2023 as Director of the Central Customs Directorate.
